NEW LOCATION TO BE ANNOUNCED JUNE 21ST
Beginning in 2009, The Waterman’s Applied Science Paddle for Humanity has raised over $50,000.00 for SurfAid International and has become one of the premier Stand Up Paddle and Paddleboard events in the US. The Paddle for Humanity takes place on a single day and is comprised of a two (2) mile paddle and a six (6) mile elite race. The events allow for first time racers, novices, families and others to participate and experience an elite-racing environment along with the best elite paddlers in the world.
The Paddle for Humanity is about providing the paddling community a way to give back.
In 2010 the event introduced the “Jog-A-Thon” fundraising platform. This new platform, enabled participants to engage their friends, family and community in the event and help them achieve their fundraising goals.
The popularity of the event in Dana Point has allowed us to grow the event into a series. This year the PFH is proud to introduce events in Deerfield Beach Florida and Washington DC. We are equally excited with the possibility of adding additional locations in the years to come.
This is our first year at the National Harbor and with your help we can make this event a HUGE success for the Community, SurfAid and the people of Indonesia who really depend on our help.
Our stated goal is to raise $100,000.00 for SurfAid International through these events. This is a very large increase from years past and we need your help to make it happen, We look forward to working with our athletes, communities and sponsors and making this event an part of the Paddle community for years to come.
